Diagnostic Imaging Field Service Engineer


Job Responsibilities:
  • Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service repair on designated equipment
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on imagining equipment to include, but not limited to: Diagnostic ultrasound, nuclear medicine, C-Arm, Mobile X-Ray, R&F, and/or Mammography equipment.
  • Utilize the current electronic service report system to maintain records of work performed.
  • Interact with vendors to provide specialized service or order parts necessary to maintain equipment.
  • Provide follow-up communications to customers on the status of repairs and/or to provide training to end users as necessary.
  • Participate in radiology equipment set-up and installation as necessary.
  • Participate with regular “On-Call” schedule.
  • Working as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned area.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on imagining equipment to include, but not limited to: Diagnostic ultrasound, nuclear medicine, C-Arm, Mobile X-Ray, R&F, and/or Mammography equipment.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Electrical Engineering degree with specialized training or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience preferred.
  • OEC 9800/9900 training and experience desired
  • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution based service process.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns. Preferred
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner

  • Knowledge of practices and procedures, methods, tools and materials used in the use, repair, and maintenance of radiographic/imaging equipment.
  • Good communication and computer skills. Networking skills are desirable.
  • Demonstrate competency related to the use of test equipment used in maintenance and troubleshooting of radiographic/imaging equipment.
  • Demonstrate competency related to the use of service and repair manuals including understanding of operating instructions, service diagrams, flow charts and schematics.
